Natural movement is not new, it can be dated back to the dawn of the first people on earth and their passion to move, both for fun and survival, exploring their environment and living in their natural terrain.
In these ancient times, exercise did not exist and to conserve energy people needed to move in the most efficient way possible. This created coordinated and natural movement patterns within their body, which led to movement efficiency.
In our modern lifestyles, we have seemingly lost the ability to move naturally in our environment, and even our exercise programmes are designed to increase the amount of stress on our joints in a very linear, isolated and limited ways. These repetitive movements produce poor movement habits and inefficient movement, placing stress on our joints.
We need to bring back these natural movement principles into our lives to maintain, efficient movement and natural posture.
